Build a bookshop from your own shelves

BookBramble2 min read

Start with books you are ready to pass on

Choose a few physical books you no longer need. Check that every copy is available and that you can find it when someone buys it. Listing an entire shelf is only helpful if your inventory is accurate.

Use the correct title, author and edition. An ISBN is useful when a book has one, but you can also list a copy manually. Add your own photos and describe its condition honestly.

Pick the genre that best fits each title. Someone browsing your shop for one novel may find another book they want to read. Buyers can put up to ten copies from the same shop into one basket, subject to parcel limits.

A basket has one payment and one delivery charge. Books from different readers need separate shop checkouts. Availability and prices are checked again before payment.

Set a price you’re happy to receive

Listing and selling are free, and you keep the full book price: a £10 book pays you £10. The buyer pays delivery and a small reader protection fee on top, which is shown in every price they see.

Your listing form shows what you’ll receive before you publish, and each order shows it again after a sale. Keep paid copies together so they are ready for the order’s dispatch instructions.
